🧠🧠🧠

What The Hell Was This Week Though?

I mean…Let’s recap shall we:

Civil unrest, horrifying headlines, a literal arctic blast for over half the country… and snow flurries in Tampa? Honestly, sure. Why not?

At some point, you have to pause and wonder:
Is this real life?
And also… did I forget to reply to that Teams message from Monday?

Corporate life during chaos has range, don’t it?

You can be reckoning with humanity’s existential crisis and still somehow be late to a check-in called “Q1 Efficiency Sync.”

This one’s for the people trying to stay human, trying to show up, and not quite sure which one should come first.

A few micro tools ahead — for when you’re emotionally over it, but still employed.

Toolbox: Low Stake Tools for High Stake Times

The “Micro-Task” Reset:
Choose one thing so small it barely counts (clear 3 emails, water your plant, close a tab).

Do it.

That’s your win…my tabs are unhinged right now so selfishly this is probably a reminder for myself.

An Autopilot Phrase Bank:
For when you’re out of emotions, but the emails keep coming..
• “Got it — thanks for flagging.”
• “Looping in [insert person who can help more than you].”
• “Appreciate the heads-up. Let me sit with this.”

You didn’t fix anything, but you acknowledged it. I swear that’s half the job if you really think about it. Feels pretty basic, but the reality is communication buys more time and less headache in the future.

A 3-Minute Reality Check:

Ask yourself: “What actually matters today? And what will still matter next Friday?”

Let that edit your to-do list.

Unsustainable Behavior of the Week

Because these things need to be out in the open...

“Being Emotionally Checked Out But Very Good at Email”

You don’t remember the last time you felt joy.
But the response you rewrote to Susan so you wouldn’t get fired? Pristine. Top tier professionalism.

One to Think About

A short, sharp insight to carry through your day.

Are you actually behind?

Or are you just… not moving at the pace of people who haven’t felt a thing all week?

There’s a difference. Some people choose to see it and some don’t.

Nervous System Break

A quick reset for your overworked brain.

Okay, stay with me — especially my skeptics.

How we talk to ourselves matters. It shapes how our nervous system regulates, how we process emotions, and whether we spiral or stay steady.

So today, just try saying one kind thing to yourself. Out loud or in your head. Doesn’t need to be profound.

“This is hard, and I’m doing my best.”

“It’s okay if I don’t have the words today.”

“Survival is a valid skillset.”

“Thriving is off the menu. We’re going for ‘still standing.’”

“I might be feral, but I’m functional.”

A little internal kindness (and some humor) goes further than you think.

Reply All (Just Kidding, Just to Me)

This will always be a space to share stories, rants, and reflections.

But look… there’s no trophy for pretending you’re fine.

I know I add humor to just about everything I do — because I genuinely believe laughter is some of the best medicine, but this past week has truly been no laughing matter.

So if you’re holding something heavy and just need to get it out of your head, send a note.

Or at the very least, know you’re not alone.

Until Next Time!

Wishing you more peace than pings this week.
